Me: This is Mike Lowry with Rebel Radio. I’m here with Jason Peters. Jason is going to tell us a little bit about the internship program that they have at the U.S. Marshals, offered by the school and his experience with it. Here’s Jason right now
Jason Peters: The Internship the U.S. Marshals offers is probably the best internship anyone could have going into law enforcement. It offers a broad experience in the Federal Law enforcement field. I got plenty of experience. I did mine with the task force. We did daily warrant servings, where we went out to South Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama. And went after people everyday. So you get a lot of field experience. You have excellent guys that teach you and tell you what your doing and what you want to do. When you have the chance to get the job yourself. Also learned how to run the computer systems they use everyday such as jada and NCIC which they use to look up fugitives and put people into the system. All and all it was an awesome experience. Had a blast doing it and got to learn everything hands on, that was probably the best thing. Nothing was learned from a book, or someone telling me hey this is what we do but you can’t do it. They let you do everything but carry a gun. It was quite an experience and I would recommend it to anybody going into law enforcement field.
Me: Again that’s Jason Peters telling about the Internship program offered by the U.S. Marshals. Thanks again Jason, and Mike Lowry with Rebel Radio.
